Menopause

Transcript

Female 1:  My symptoms of menopause for me started with hot flashes.  They were miserable.  I don’t wish menopause on anyone.

Female 2: I was just tired of having hot flashes and lack of sleep.

Female 3: I don’t think that women realize that they don’t have to go through the symptoms of menopause.

Female 1: I think I had been feeling like that for maybe the past ten years, and didn’t really understand that there was anything that could help me.

Female 2: It’s not like, you know, oh, my grandmother was miserable, my mother was miserable.  We’re all gonna have to live through menopause.  There is nothing we can do about it.  There is something you can do about it and you can feel better.

Female 3: After I did it, I feel like all my organs in my body were working properly, if that makes sense, like they used to 20 years ago.  But I didn’t know that I was going to feel like that.

Female 2: You should at least give it one try.  I am really surprised that one treatment has made feel this good.  So I would continue with it because if one treatment made me feel this good, then I’m kind of, you know, excited to see how the continuing of the treatments will make me feel.  And especially to keep away those symptoms.

Female 3: Sleeping is very good.  I used to sleep four to six hours, sometimes seven hours.  Now, I can sleep up to ten hours.  It’s easy.  [Laughter].  It’s very restful to sleep.

Female 2: As a nurse and just as a woman who has gone through menopause, I think you should certainly at least try it.

Female 3:  I’m a lot happier now than I was.  Yeah, that’s the truth.
